About Us
The Breathe Chicago Center© (BCC) is a program within the Section of Pulmonary, directed by Dr. Jerry Krishnan. We conduct health services research and clinical trials that focus on improving health care delivery and patient outcomes, as well as testing new treatment options for patients with asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). We aim to accelerate the development, evaluation and implementation of strategies focused on advancing the health of people with lung disease, and deliver access to cutting edge research and education to better manage their condition. Along with the University of Illinois at Chicago, the BCC promotes healthier communities for a healthier city.
