The Breathe Chicago Center© (BCC) at the University of Illinois at Chicago conducts research in lung disease and COVID-19 funded by, the National Institutes of Health, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and other agencies. We conduct studies in collaboration with academic health centers in Chicago and across the U.S.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of research coordinators, informaticians, regulatory specialists, designers, physicians, nurses, epidemiologists, and statisticians. We develop, test, and implement innovative, data-driven strategies to improve lung health. Our results are published in peer-reviewed medical journals.

The Breathe Chicago Center© (BCC) interns take part in the development and operation of health services research and clinical trials that aim to help people with asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The BCC is always on the lookout for motivated individuals with both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds to join the team.
